Philadelphia 4, at Tampa Bay 2: Joffrey Lupul scored on a penalty shot and added two assists. Tampa Bay has lost nine of 11.
Washington 8, at Ottawa 6: Alexander Ovechkin had four goals and an assist and Michael Nylander scored twice. Mike Fisher had a hat trick for the Senators.
at Columbus 4, Carolina 1: Nikolai Zherdev scored two spectacular goals and had a career-best four points. Rostislav Klesla and Kris Beech also scored for the Blue Jackets.
at Pittsburgh 2, Buffalo 0: Ty Conklin, in the minors a month ago, won his fourth in a row and Sidney Crosby set up both goals.
at Minnesota 5, Edmonton 4: Petteri Nummelin capped a Wild comeback from a three-goal deficit by scoring on an overtime power play.
at Dallas 5, St. Louis 4: Mike Modano had the only goal in a shootout and the Stars overcame Paul Kariya’s three third-period goals. Modano, who scored his 519th goal in the third, slipped a shot off the pads of Hannu Toivonen.
at Atlanta 5, Boston 0: Slava Kozlov, Bobby Holik and Pascal Dupuis scored in a three-goal first period and Kari Lehtonen earned his second shutout.
N.Y. Rangers 6, at Toronto 1: Petr Prucha scored two of the Rangers’ season-high five goals with the man advantage. Backup goalie Steve Valiquette nearly earned his first NHL shutout.
at N.Y. Islanders 5, New Jersey 2: Andy Sutton scored his first goal of the season with 8:17 left in the third period to give the Islanders their fourth win of the season over New Jersey.
San Jose 5, at Nashville 2: Matthew Carle and Steve Bernier each had a goal and an assist and the Sharks won a franchise-record ninth consecutive road game.
Detroit 4, at Phoenix 2: Pavel Datsyuk scored a tiebreaking goal with over four minutes remaining to lead the Red Wings to their sixth victory in seven games.
at Calgary 5, Ducks 3: Jarome Iginla scored two goals, including the winner on a power play late in the third period.
Kings 3, at Colorado 1: The Kings rallied in the third period and broke an eight-game losing streak.
