Lay off the governor

Re “Off the cuff, Gov. gets in some jabs,” Feb. 5
I resent the latest article on Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger’s tapes. How many more stories are you going to milk out of these tapes? Can we look forward to another round next month? You are allowing yourself to be used by others with a political agenda. There is a time when you have to ask yourself not, “Is this a headline-grabbing story?” but, “Is this helpful for the state?”
Schwarzenegger is making a good-faith effort to work with Democrats. Is your goal to bust any bipartisan effort by forcing Democrats to react to this story and possibly pull back? Is it to weaken Schwarzenegger politically, to force him to apologize to more people? Just to give Schwarzenegger a hard time? What is the point here? It is not helpful other than to create another short-lived stir that means nothing. Grow up.
