Six suspects sought in security guard’s death

Authorities were searching Sunday for six suspected gang members in the shooting death of a security guard after they were turned away from a sports bar near La Mirada.
Reyes Garcia, 28, of Pico Rivera was shot about 10:30 p.m. Saturday at the Oceans Sports Bar on Telegraph Road in an unincorporated county area. He was taken to UC Irvine Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
The assailants sported shaved heads and were turned away from the sports bar because they were wearing gang attire, said Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputy Ed Hernandez.
When the men started drinking in the parking lot, Garcia reportedly told them to leave and a fight broke out. Authorities said one of the men grabbed a gun from a pickup and allegedly shot Garcia several times in the chest.
