Council to review fee hikes for LAX carriers
- Share via
The City Council moved Wednesday to review a controversial decision by the city’s Airport Commission to nearly quadruple rents and other fees for low-cost carriers in Terminals 1 and 3 at Los Angeles International Airport.
The motion to review, which was introduced by Councilman Bill Rosendahl and seconded by Councilwoman Janice Hahn, will be considered by the council Friday.
“The unprecedented size of this fee increase merits further review by the City Council,” the motion states.
If the council concurs, it will refer the matter to the body’s Trade, Commerce and Tourism Committee.
