Dole names member of board CEO

Dole Food Co. has named David DeLorenzo as president and chief executive.
David Murdock, Dole’s owner and acting CEO, will hold the title of chairman, the company announced.
DeLorenzo, 59, serves on the board of directors and chairs the audit committee. He has been with the company for more than 37 years.
President and Chief Operating Officer Richard Dahl, 54, is leaving Westlake Village-based Dole to pursue personal business interests, according to the company.
