Baca ordered to report on Hilton’s release

The L.A. County Board of Supervisors on Tuesday formally asked Sheriff Lee Baca to report on the circumstances under which he decided to release hotel heiress Paris Hilton from jail last week.
The action has been criticized by some who say it amounts to special treatment -- a charge Baca denies. A judge ordered Hilton back to jail a day later.
The board asked that a report on the matter be completed by next week.
