State Sen. Carole Migden rear-ended a car on California 12 on Friday, leaving one person with minor injuries, the California Highway Patrol said.
Migden (D-San Francisco) was reaching for her cellphone and took her eyes off the road just before the accident, the senator’s office said in a statement.
“She was not injured and later passed a routine Breathalyzer test, and then she drove her car home,” the statement said.
The driver of the Honda sedan suffered minor injuries and was taken to a hospital. No citations were issued, the CHP said.
