‘Jericho’ lessons

THANK you for your article regarding CBS’ decision to consider providing closure to “Jericho” [“CBS Responds to Fans Who Fight the Battle of ‘Jericho,’ ” by Maria Elena Fernandez, May 22]. All too often, it is junk on TV that gets the ratings. Finally a show has come along that does not show deceitfulness and manipulation used to come out ahead, but instead shows a community working together for a common goal in the face of adversity -- and it is unceremoniously dumped.

I know this is just wishful thinking on my part, but I’d love to see more shows on TV like this, in the hopes that life could start to imitate art.
