From Times Wire Reports
A New Zealand teenager accused of leading an international cyber crime network pleaded guilty today.
Owen Thor Walker, 18, known online as “AKILL,” was involved in a network accused of infiltrating 1.3 million computers and skimming millions of dollars from victims’ bank accounts. The charges against him involved hacking and did not directly address his role in the network or the alleged skimming.
Eight people have been indicted, pleaded guilty or been convicted since the investigation began last year.
