From Times Wire Reports
A wildfire near Grayling burned six homes and forced part of Interstate 75 to close, authorities said.
About 50 homes were evacuated. No injuries were reported.
Fire officials said that strong winds, dry, warm conditions and abundant jack pine trees aided the fire’s spread across nearly 2 square miles before firefighters began to contain it.
