Clorox to raise product prices

Clorox Co. said it would raise prices on more than half of its portfolio -- including Glad trash bags, its namesake bleach and Brita water filters -- in the next year to offset higher commodity costs.
The Oakland company said fiscal fourth-quarter earnings fell 3.7%, weighed down by restructuring costs. It also lowered its 2009 forecast, citing rising costs.
