Murder-suicide of couple probed

Orange County sheriff’s deputies are investigating the murder-suicide of a married couple Friday in the Laguna Woods Village retirement community.
A 79-year-old man and his 78-year-old wife were found by a caretaker about 8:40 a.m. in their home in the 5500 block of Paseo Del Lago.
Both had been shot and a suicide note was found, Sgt. Angel Andrade said.
“She had been in poor health,” he said.
The victims’ names and the contents of the letter were not immediately available.
