LACO to tour 8 European cities

Music director Jeffrey Kahane and the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra will travel to eight cities in Italy, Germany, Austria, Spain and France, Feb. 28 through March 9, in the group’s first European tour in 30 years.
Two soloists will accompany the orchestra. LACO composer-in-residence Uri Caine will perform his “Mosaics for Piano and Chamber Orchestra” in Ferrara, Italy; Vienna and San Sebastian, Spain. Bulgarian mezzo-soprano Vesselina Kasarova will sing arias by Mozart and Rossini in Treviso, Italy; Berlin, Hanover and Hamburg, Germany; and Paris.
