AmeriCredit loss is $19 million

AmeriCredit Corp., a lender to car buyers with blemished credit records, posted a quarterly loss and cut its earnings forecast.
AmeriCredit said it lost $19 million, or 17 cents a share, in its fiscal second quarter ended Dec. 31. A year earlier, it earned $95 million, or 74 cents a share. It also said net income for the fiscal year ending June 30 would be $170 million to $195 million; previous guidance was $295 million to $320 million.
