Pacific Ethanol Inc. said its fourth-quarter loss widened to $34.7 million as corn costs overwhelmed ethanol prices.
The loss was 61 cents a share, compared with a loss of $15.8 million, or 39 cents, a year earlier, the Sacramento company said in a regulatory filing. Sales rose 23% to $160.4 million.
