Update: The Angels take the field with heavy hearts, their October failures against the Red Sox a trifling concern compared with their mourning of pitcher Nick Adenhart, who died in a car accident Thursday. Weaver was the winning pitcher in the Angels’ lone playoff victory over the Red Sox last October, working in relief in Game 3 at Boston, which went 11 innings.
