Little big man

Congratulations on Jerry Crowe’s great story about Albie Pearson and his Father’s Heart Ranch [June 1]. Albie Pearson was my hero when he played for a team in Cuba during the winter in 1957. I was only 9 years old back then, and I remember the radio announcers always mentioned his size every time he came to bat. And every time he got a base hit or made a great play it gave me a lot of pride, since I myself was not tall.
Please let Albie know that he is still my hero and I am very happy he is still making great plays for the needy ones. It still gives me a lot of pride.
