Marina and Edison to battle for third time

GAME OF THE DAY
Huntington Beach Marina (18-3, 8-2)
at Huntington Beach Edison (16-3, 9-1)
Why it matters: With a victory, Edison could sweep the three-game season series with its city rival and take a two-game lead in the Sunset League. The Chargers came from behind to defeat the Vikings in each of their first two meetings and won each game in their final at-bat. Right-hander Kurt Heyer (6-1, 1.02 earned-run average), who pitched the last three innings of Edison’s 2-1, 10-inning victory over Marina on Wednesday, is scheduled to start for the Chargers. He will be opposed by left-hander Paul Strong (5-1, 1.73), who struck out the first nine batters he faced and 11 overall during Marina’s 4-3 loss to Edison in late March.
