at New York 3, Minnesota 2 (10 innings): Johnny Damon hit a home run in the 10th inning, giving the Yankees their third win in a row over the Twins that was capped by a game-ending hit. The last time New York had three consecutive walk-off wins was Aug. 27-29, 1972.
at Toronto 8, Chicago 2: Roy Halladay (8-1) won his fifth consecutive start and Adam Lind hit one of three Blue Jays home runs.
at Seattle 3, Boston 2: Franklin Gutierrez’s single drove in Ronny Cedeno with two out in the bottom of the ninth inning.
at Kansas City 7, Baltimore 4: John Buck’s run-scoring triple broke an eighth-inning tie, and the Royals overcame four errors.
at Detroit 11, Oakland 7: Ramon Santiago and Curtis Granderson each hit three-run home runs, and the Tigers overcame a six-run deficit to complete a three-game sweep of the Athletics.
at Texas 3, Angels 0: The Rangers won their seventh consecutive game.
