42nd Street: An understudy (Ruby Keeler) gets a shot at stardom when a Broadway performer (Bebe Daniels) is sidelined with a twisted ankle in this sentimental 1933 musical. Warner Baxter, George Brent and Ginger Rogers also star (5 p.m. TCM). That is followed at 6:45 by Ruby Keeler, Ginger Rogers and Dick Powell in the 1933 musical “Gold Diggers of 1933.”
