The charming Conejo Valley community of Thousand Oaks transforms itself into an Old West haven during the annual Conejo Valley Days festival. Also Sunday. $7. https://www.conejovalleydays.org.
Ring in May Day with Linoleum Bonaparte, the Goddess of Democracy, Clown Doctors From Outer Space and perennial faves the Bastard Sons of Lee Marvin (not to mention hundreds of other marchers) at the 34th Annual Pasadena Doo Dah Parade. Rerouted this year from Old Town to a new path along Colorado Boulevard in East Pasadena, the parade — conceived in the now-defunct Chromo’s Tavern in 1978 — will be led by Grand Marshal Corky Peterson, Chromo’s proprietor. East Colorado Boulevard between Altadena and San Gabriel boulevards. 11 a.m. Free. (626) 590-1134. https://www.pasadenadoodahparade.info
Though the timing takes a cue from Mexico’s Día del Niño holiday, this Children’s Day celebration will be an international affair, with kids performing songs and dances from Cambodia, West Africa, Hawaii and elsewhere. Other festivities include arts, crafts and a first-ever children’s parade. Aquarium of the Pacific, 100 Aquarium Way, Long Beach. 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Also Sunday. Free with museum admission (general admission $23.95, children 3-11 $11.95, seniors 62 and older $20.95). (562) 590-3100. https://www.aquariumofpacific.org.
Ten of Southern California’s most popular tribute bands come together for an all-day ode to some of rock ‘n’ roll’s biggest stars at Tributefest. Santa Clarita Central Park, 27150 Bouquet Canyon Road, Santa Clarita. 11 a.m. $32.50. Online only tickets. (310) 982-1763. https://www.moshee.net.
