Ducks tonight
AT SAN JOSE
When: 7:30.
Where: HP Pavilion.
On the air: TV: Prime Ticket; Radio: 830.
Records: Ducks 4-5-1 through Thursday, Sharks 4-3-1.
Record vs. Sharks (2009-10): 1-5-0.
Update: Through Nov. 12, the Sharks provide the only road games for the Ducks, who hope to make the most of not traveling much. Right wing Dan Sexton ( broken nose) and defenseman Andy Sutton (thumb) are still out. Defenseman Cam Fowler, who has been out because of a broken nose and stiff neck, could return against the Sharks. Left wing Matt Beleskey will sit out at least another game because of concussion symptoms. The Sharks, meanwhile, will be trying to get consecutive wins at home. Until Wednesday’s 5-2 victory over the New Jersey Devils, San Jose had been winless at HP Pavilion this season. Their struggle is partly because of the horrible start for goaltender Antti Niemi, who signed as a free agent after helping the Chicago Blackhawks win the Stanley Cup. So far this season, Niemi has a bloated 4.48 goals-against average and is 1-3.
