Week ahead for Angels

TUESDAY THROUGH THURSDAY: AT CLEVELAND INDIANS
FRIDAY THOUGH SUNDAY: AT TAMPA BAY RAYS
It’s been a long time since any of the Angels’ regulars have played a meaningless game this late in the season, which figures to make the trip to Cleveland especially painful. Entering the weekend the Angels and Indians were a combined 33 games under .500, and the tiny crowds at Cleveland’s Progressive Field suggest fans have moved on to football or to contemplating an NBA season without LeBron James. The Angels will rejoin a pennant race briefly when they go to Tampa Bay, but don’t expect them to make much of a mark there either. The Angels are 7-14 at Tropicana Field since 2004.
