Aiming to bring professional belly dance to the masses, and maybe even launch a global Riverdance-type phenomenon while they’re at it, Bellydance Superstars — founded in 2002 by New Wave record mogul and onetime Police manager Miles Copeland — will stage their 799th performance on Friday in Thousand Oaks. The American troupe’s latest show, “Bombay Bellywood,” incorporates various dance styles, from Egyptian, Polynesian and Indian to ballet and tribal fusion. Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, Janet and Ray Scherr Forum Theatre, 2100 E. Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks. 7:30 p.m. Fri. $36-$45. (805) 449-2787; https://www.toaks.org.
