Las Vegas is giving Andy Warhol another 15 minutes and then some.
The Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art is celebrating what would have been the Pop artist’s 85th birthday, Aug. 6, with half off admission all day at “Warhol Out West,” an exhibit dedicated to all things Western by Warhol.
The $8.50 admission extends Aug. 7 to 12 from 5 to 7:30 p.m. A limited number of patrons will receive a complimentary souvenir.
The celebration continues Aug. 14 with an art and wine pairing, along with Pop art-inspired cupcakes courtesy of Bellagio’s pastry team.
Organized in partnership with the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh, “Warhol Out West” features 56 of Warhol’s works, including paintings, sculptures, photographs, screen prints and wallpaper.
Exhibits include Warhol’s 1960s Pop paintings of famous people and products, his 1980s advertisement series, the “Double Elvis” painting and the rarely seen “Cowboys and Indians” series.
The show runs through Jan. 2. General admission is $16.
