How insurers figure out how much you’re driving

Lewis has noticed that when his insurance company sends him estimates for his auto coverage, it always has a really good idea of how much he has been driving.
He wants to know whether his car dealer is routinely ratting him out each time he takes in his car for service.
Mileage, of course, plays a key role in determining your rates. The less you drive, the less you’ll probably pay. So it’s important that your insurer have an accurate read on things.
