Former Minnesota Viking Chris Kluwe sells his house in Huntington Beach

Former UCLA standout and NFL punter Chris Kluwe has sold his gamer-ready home in a gated Huntington Beach community for $1.84 million.

The Traditional-style home on a cul-de-sac features, among other things, a video game room that was featured on an episode of the DIY Network series “Man Caves.” Kluwe, an avid gamer, commissioned the project, which converted an unused room into a custom gaming space complete with stadium seating, a dual gaming center and a 106-inch projector screen.

Elsewhere in the 3,700 square feet of interiors are formal living and dining rooms, a center-island kitchen, an office/library and a family room. A vaulted foyer with a curving staircase marks the entrance to the home.

The master suite, with a fireplace and walk-in closet, has French doors that open to a private terrace patio. There are four bedrooms, 4.5 bathrooms and three fireplaces in all.

Outdoors, a covered patio centers on a swimming pool with dual waterfalls and a raised spa. A fire pit and a built-in barbecue sit adjacent to the pool.

The house last changed hands six years ago for $1.65 million, property records show.

Sukie Fee of Seacliff Realty Inc. was the listing agent. Debbie Neugebauer of Star Real Estate repped the buyer.

The 34-year-old Kluwe has ties to the Southland, having attended UCLA and, before, that, Los Alamitos High School. He spent eight seasons with the Minnesota Vikings from 2005-2012.

He is the author of the essay collection “Beautifully Unique Sparkleponies” and co-author of the science fiction novel “Prime.”
