Television personality and fashion designer Lauren Conrad has sold a penthouse in the Beverly Hills area for $2.8 million -- more than double what she paid for property four years ago
The approximately 3,200-square-foot residence saw a complete makeover during Conrad’s ownership and offers a glimpse of her personal style: Bold living areas done in reclaimed materials, colorful hues and wall treatments, accentuated by a collection of vintage and modernist furnishings.
Among features of note is a living room with a wall of reclaimed brick, an eat-in country-style kitchen and a gentleman’s lounge complete with a mirrored wet bar and black-lacquered ceiling. Sliding barn-style doors divide the master suite, which features a boutique-inspired closet and a separate sitting room.
In all, there are two bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Outdoors, a garden terrace tiled in black-and-white marble has an outdoor dining area, planters and city views.
The penthouse came to market in November for $3.2 million. Conrad bought the property in 2012 for $1.35 million, records show.
Cary Glenn of Main Beach Realty was the listing agent. Nerses Ananyan of Titus Realty represented the buyer.
The 30-year-old Conrad gained fame on the MTV show “Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County” and the spinoff “The Hills.” She has since authored multiple books and launched the fashion line LC Lauren Conrad.
