Terrence Howard’s domestic empire keeps expanding: The actor has welcomed a baby boy.
The star of Fox’s hit series “Empire” confirmed to “Access Hollywood” that the little guy arrived four weeks ago.
“He’s beautiful and strong and a whirlwind, and my wife is so happy,” the actor said Sunday while he was promoting the music-biz show at the Monte Carlo TV Festival in Monaco.
Howard, 46, and his wife, Mira, whom he wed in 2013, gave their son a unique moniker: Qirin Love. He told Access Hollywood that it was derived from qilin, the word for a mythical Chinese creature that appears before a time of prosperity or serenity.
Incidentally, the addictive Fox soap and its stars are considered shoo-ins for Emmy nominations and awards this summer.
It’s the fourth child for the Oscar-nominated “Hustle & Flow” star, who has Heaven, 17, Hunter, 19, and Aubrey, 21, from his first marriage. Howard and his second wife, Michelle Ghent, were recently embroiled in a vicious spousal support battle, TMZ reported.
A rep for Howard did not immediately respond to a request for confirmation.
