The 60th Grammy Awards: Kendrick Lamar wins 5 Grammys; Bruno Mars wins album of the year

Kendrick Lamar received a total of seven nominations.
The Compton rapper opened the show with a fiery medley that included appearances from members of U2 and comedian Dave Chappelle, and though he didn’t win the top Grammy prize, for the third time in his career he snared the trophy for rap album.
Meanwhile, album of the year, record and song of the year all went to the feel-good, peppy pop of Mars, whose “24K Magic” lightly steps among genres and celebrates good times.
