Coldplay will reportedly headline the halftime show at Super Bowl 50.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the British group is set to perform during next year’s game, set for Feb. 7 at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, alongside Bruno Mars and possibly Beyonce, who appears on Coldplay’s new album, “A Head Full of Dreams.”

Beyonce headlined the Super Bowl halftime show in 2013; Mars took over last year. Katy Perry performed at this year’s Super Bowl in February.
The news of Coldplay’s booking comes a day before the release of “A Head Full of Dreams,” which finds the band back in its signature uplifting mode following 2014’s downcast “Ghost Stories.”
That album reflected frontman Chris Martin’s split from his wife, actress Gwyneth Paltrow. The new one, Martin recently told The Times, was designed to be “something big and colorful and fun.”
