NBC renews ‘Little Big Shots’ for a second season

NBC has ordered another round of shots -- “Little Big Shots,” that is.
The variety series showcases young performers with an array of talents, such as a 5-year-old animal hypnotist and a 6-year-old choir director. The guests also sit for interviews with host Steve Harvey, with frequently adorable results.
The series, executive-produced by Harvey and Ellen DeGeneres, had its official premiere Sunday, drawing 14.8 million live plus same-day viewers, putting it well ahead of any other show on broadcast television that night.
“I am so excited there’s going to be a second season of ‘Little Big Shots,’” said DeGeneres, making a joking reference to “The Bachelor” to point out the lack of family-friendly entertainment on the air. “When it’s over you won’t have to explain what happens in the ‘fantasy suite.’”
