Bar Pintxo: Joe Miller’s tribute to Spain’s little dishes serves about 15 sherries by the glass. Wine buyer Chris Keller’s favorites? Fino and Pedro Ximénez from the small producer El Maestro Sierra, and Gutierrez Colosia’s “Sangre y Trabajadero” Oloroso. They do sherry flights during happy hour too.

Fifty Seven: Wine director Michael Nemcik has a soft spot for sherry. “It begins everything,” he likes to say. He’s put half a dozen sherries on his list right up front, including three from Alexander Jules.

Rivera: John Rivera Sedlar’s Latin restaurant offers 19 sherries by the glass. Bar manager Andrei Kissin says he particularly enjoys the Alexander Jules selections, which he characterizes as expansive and complex, yet balanced by a wonderful brightness. The bar offers bespoke sherry flights as well — and four cocktails featuring sherry.

Scopa Italian Roots: The bar at this restaurant has not only a surprisingly good selection of tequila and mezcal but also a nice collection of a dozen sherries, including a half dozen from Equipo Navazos and the Fino en Rama 2008 Montilla Moriles Alvear.

Smoke.Oil.Salt: This Spanish restaurant with chef Perfecto Rocher at the helm has a great Spanish wine list put together by Hollywood wine geek Stephen Gelber. A fan of sherry, he’s got 80 bottles of sherry in house and rotates selections. Two of his favorites? Alexander Jules Manzanilla and the Valdespino “El Candado” Pedro Ximénez.

The Bazaar by José Andrés: Sherry, of course, figures on the wine list at José Andrés’ Spanish restaurant the Bazaar. Right now the bar has a dozen sherries by the glass and offers several sherry flights. Choose “very dry and floral,” “complex and nutty,” “rich and sweet” or “flight to Jerez.”

Wally’s Wine and Spirits in West L.A. caters to a well-heeled clientele, so in addition to high-end Champagne, Sauternes, Burgundies, Italian wines and more, the West L.A. shop stocks nearly three dozen sherries, including several from Equipo Navazos. 2107 Westwood Blvd., Los Angeles, (310) 475-0606, www.wallywine.com.
