Meet L.A. candlemaker Evolyn Brooks
Evolyn Brooks had a career in television when an early-stage breast cancer diagnosis in 2013 caused her to question her life’s path.

Forced to step back from an intense 12-hour-a-day work schedule during chemo treatments, Brooks decided to learn something new, specifically candle making.
The experimentation changed her life.
Today, the candlemaker and inspirational speaker teaches other women the craft. Here she is at a candle-making party in Pacific Palisades.

Attendees at Brooks’ In My Solitude candle-making workshop network, discuss their personal aspirations, try to tackle what may be holding them back -- and make candles that symbolize their future.
