reporting from MONTREAL — Ducks forward Kyle Palmieri suffered a shoulder injury when he was hit by ex-Ducks center Peter Holland in the third period of Tuesday’s 6-2 loss in Toronto and will miss the final two games of Anaheim’s Canadian road trip.
Palmieri will undergo tests upon the team’s return in Anaheim, the team announced.
Forward Emerson Etem was recalled from minor-league Norfolk and practiced in Palmieri’s place with center Ryan Kesler and Matt Beleskey on Wednesday at Bell Center in Montreal.
The Ducks (21-7-5) play the Montreal Canadiens on Thursday and visit the Ottawa Senators on Friday.
Palmieri has five goals in 15 games after missing the start of the season with a high ankle sprain. He played 13 minutes-plus on Tuesday.
