Gun arrests: An article in the March 2 Section A about the connection between three Texas men and a weapon used in the fatal shooting of federal officer Jaime Zapata and the wounding of his partner, Victor Avila, incorrectly identified the officers as Border Patrol agents. Zapata was an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer, as is Avila.

Sacramento Kings: In the March 2 Sports section, an article about the possible relocation of the NBA’s Sacramento Kings identified Curt Pringle as Anaheim’s mayor. In fact, Pringle is a former mayor of Anaheim; the current Anaheim mayor is Tom Tait.

Anna Faris: The Word of Mouth column about actor Topher Grace in the March 3 Calendar section incorrectly spelled actress Anna Faris’ last name as Ferris.

Retailers’ use of iPads: A Business article in the Feb. 28 Section A about retailers experimenting with iPads in stores described Gilles Kortzagadarian as vice president of retail for Make Up For Ever. He is the general manager of Make Up For Ever North America.

Corn-based ethanol: An article in the March 3 Business section about the revival of the ethanol industry said the federal government gave ethanol producers a 45-cent-a-gallon tax credit. That tax credit is given to companies that blend ethanol with other fuels.

Greg Goossen: A news obituary of former major league baseball player Greg Goossen in the March 2 LATExtra section reported that he played football and basketball at Notre Dame High School. He played football and baseball.
