At least five vehicles were involved in the crash, including a Chevrolet Cruze, a Nissan Xterra, a Volkswagen Passat and a Nissan 300, Kravig said.
As of 10 p.m., only minor injuries were reported.
All lanes of the 405 Freeway reopened by 10:30 p.m. During the closure, traffic had been rerouted on the northbound 118 Freeway.
