Man arrested in Lancaster bow and arrow killing

A 23-year-old Lancaster resident was arrested Saturday on suspicion of killing a man with a bow and arrow after the victim tried to break up an argument, sheriff deputies said.
Garrett Adams was jailed in lieu of $1-million bail, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. The identity of the dead man, a friend of Adams’ brother, was not released.
Just before 3:30 a.m. Saturday, deputies said, the victim and the brother attempted to intervene in a quarrel between the suspect and his girlfriend at a home in 43000 block of 27th Street West in Lancaster.
The dispute spilled out onto the sidewalk, where Adams armed himself with a hunting bow and shot the victim in the upper torso, deputies said. The victim was pronouced dead at a local hospital, they said.
