A 64-year-old man was struck and killed by a pickup truck early Monday in Stanton, authorities said.
The man, who was not immediately identified, was in the roadway near the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Cerritos Avenue when he was struck by the truck at about 1:18 a.m., said Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Gary Strachan.
The driver of the pickup was not taken into custody, Strachan said, though he added the investigation was ongoing.
