Police arrested a juvenile who they say stabbed a student at a Bay Area high school Friday morning, authorities said.
Union City police reported they were investigating the attack on a student “while at school.” Officers were searching for a suspect near James Logan High School, where the stabbing occurred shortly after 11 a.m., and asked the public to avoid the area. The school north of Fremont was put on lockdown as police investigated.
Police said the lockdown was lifted after a suspect was arrested and students would be released at their regular time.
Union City police did not say what led to the stabbing.
