Firefighters knock down Van Nuys apartment blaze

Firefighters knocked down a blaze Sunday that broke out at a Van Nuys apartment building, authorities said.
No one was injured after the fire erupted about 10:45 a.m. in a third-floor residence at 6825 Haskell Ave., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
It took crews less than 15 minutes to extinguish the flames, the department said.
Cause of the fire and a damage estimate were not immediately available.
