Brushfire in northeast San Diego County caused by target shooting

The brushfire that has burned more than 980 acres in a remote region of northeast San Diego County was caused by sparks from target shooting, Cal-Fire said Tuesday.
The fire broke out Sunday afternoon east of California 79 and southeast of Julian. No structures have been damaged as the fire burns east toward the desert.
Some 1,217 fire personnel, 52 engines and 13 aircraft are fighting the flames. Containment of the fire is expected Wednesday, Cal-Fire said.
