Readers React: Message to Bernie Sanders supporters: You lost, but there will be another election

To the editor: At my age, I’ve been through some disappointing elections. I know how Sen. Bernie Sanders’ supporters feel. (“Bernie Sanders supporters have to face the facts: Hillary Clinton has won,” editorial, June 7
Here are a few electoral lowlights: Ronald Reagan wins the presidency by garnering the votes of “Reagan Democrats,” formerly known as Dixiecrats. George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush win by doing the same. Probable Republican nominee Donald Trump is doubling down on this divisive strategy.
Through it all, I voted.
If Sanders’ supporters are disappointed now, all I can say is there will be a better day. The change they want is still in their hands, even if their preferred candidate isn’t on the ballot. Vote.
