Three areas of Huntington Harbour are closed to swimmers until further notice because of a spill of several thousand gallons of sewage coming from the Disneyland Resort area, officials said.
The Orange County Health Care Agency closed Sunset Aquatic Marina, Peter’s Landing and Portofino Cove Marina to swimming and diving at about 9 p.m. Wednesday, and it may be several days before the water is safe to enter, said Anthony Martinez, program manager of the county’s environmental water quality program.
An estimated 12,000 gallons of sewage spilled into the marinas, Martinez said.
