Two arrested after stabbing of man in Huntington’s Central Park Library

Two Huntington Beach residents have been arrested in connection to the stabbing death of a man outside the Central Park Library.
Brandon Hicks, 27, and an unidentified 17-year-old female were taken into custody Aug. 19, hours after the stabbing occurred, according to authorities.
Hicks was transferred to Orange County Jail. The female suspect was transferred to Orange County Juvenile Hall.
Police received several calls about the stabbing on Aug. 19 at about 12:30 a.m.
When police arrived on the scene, a man was on the ground in the library’s northeast parking lot.
A group of people were present in the parking lot when two men became involved in a fight, according to authorities.
The 37-year-old Huntington resident was stabbed and taken to a local hospital, where he died of his injuries. His name has not been released.
