Dodgers get bullpen makeover started by activating Joel Peralta

That looming bullpen makeover got under more serious renovation Monday when the Dodgers added right-hander Joel Peralta from the disabled list.
The Dodgers sent relievers Daniel Coulombe and Matt West down to triple-A Oklahoma City.
Right-hander Ian Thomas also will be called up from Oklahoma City on Monday, once he arrives to Wrigley Field. He already has a locker and a jersey hung, but the Dodgers have taken to not announcing roster moves until the incoming player is in the clubhouse.
Peralta has missed the team’s last 53 games with a sore shoulder. Before going on the disabled list April 26, Peralta was emerging as one of the team’s most dependable relievers. He was 1-0, had not allowed a run in his seven appearances (5 2/3 innings) and led the team with three saves.
He made five rehab appearances prior to being activated, allowing for runs in 4 2/3 innings.
West had thrown three innings in the past two games, and Coulombe three in the past three games, so the bullpen could use a long man like Thomas.
