Dodgers call up Julio Urias to start today against Nationals

Reporting from WASHINGTON — The Dodgers made a pair of roster moves before Thursday’s series finale against the Nationals, recalling Julio Urias to start the game and calling up left-hander Grant Dayton to aid the bullpen.
The Dodgers optioned infielders Charlie Culberson and Zach Walters to triple-A Oklahoma City.
Dayton, 28, has struck out 15.9 batters per nine innings between double-A Tulsa and Oklahoma City.
“He’s a high spin-rate guy,” Manager Dave Roberts said. “He’s got a good fastball, good fastball life.”
Corey Seager sat out for the third game in a row. He came down with a stomach virus when the team arrived in Washington. Seager felt better on Thursday, but Roberts felt uncomfortable starting him in the humidity of a day game at Nationals Park.
