Baseball: Chris Murphy strikes out seven in summer college debut

Former Granada Hills left-handed pitcher Chris Murphy, a University of San Diego signee, is wasting no time getting prepared for the next level.
He made his summer collegiate debut earlier this week in Walla Walla, Wash. He struck out seven and allowed one hit and one run in four innings for the Walla Sweets.
Murphy could be selected in this weekend’s baseball amateur draft. It takes place Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
