Baseball: Kennedy’s Estevan Rodriguez is driving in runs

When it comes to driving in runs, Granada Hills Kennedy junior Estevan Rodriguez keeps coming through in the clutch. He raised his season RBI totlal to 31 on Thursday after going three for three with three RBIs in Kennedy’s 13-0 Valley Mission League win over Reseda.
Felix Rubi struck out 10 in five innings. Kennedy (16-6, 5-1) plays Sylmar in a critical two-game series next week. Sylmar defeated Van Nuys, 22-3, in five innings. Jose Holguin ahd three hits and three RBIs.
In the Southwestern League, Great Oak defeated Vista Murrieta, 4-3. Vista Murrieta scored three runs in the top of the seventh. Michell Hayes and Brett Dillon had two hits apiece. Ben Mora threw a no-hitter in Murrieta Valley’s 9-0 win over Murrieta Mesa.
In the Baseline League, Los Osos defeated Upland, 12-4. Glendora defeated Rancho Cucamonga, 6-3. Justin Cage had two hits and three RBis.
In the SLO tournament, Jusin Dehn struck out 11 in Crespi’s 5-2 win over Morro Bay. Matt Orozco and Zach Mausser each had three hits.
In the Righetti tournament, Alemany advanced to the championship game with an 11-1 win over Paso Robles. Carter Yankie struck out seven in six innings. Ruben Cardenas and Alex Mckenna had three hits apiece. Alemany is 16-4-1.
Calabasas defeated Lompoc, 12-2. Noah Perry had three RBIs. Chaminade defeated Righetti, 8-1. Dallas Tessar, Nick Kahle and Blake Rutherford each had two hits.
Agoura lost to Templeton, 2-0, in eight innings. Spencer Howard threw a complete game for Templeton, striking out nine and walking none.
Sierra Canyon defeated St. Genevieve, 6-5. Brock Bell and Alex Crane each had two hits. Village Christian defeated Valley Christian, 7-3, in an Olympic League game. Gordon Ingebritson struck out seven in four innings.
