Baseball: San Fernando defeats Banning, 4-2, behind Steven Villagran

San Fernando is emerging as the favorite to win the Valley Mission League in baseball.
The Tigers picked up an important early season win on Thursday night, knocking off Banning, 4-2.
Sophomore Steven Villagran threw a complete game. He struck out six, walked none and needed only 82 pitches. He allowed six hits.
Nathan Cisneros went three for four and Salvador Veloz had two RBIs. The Tigers improved to 2-0 and both wins are over Marine League teams (the other was San Pedro).
